How is a daylight-saving transition day handled?

The wall-clock daily window still reads the same start and end time entered, but the real elapsed hours for that specific day are reported as 7 or 9 instead of the usual 8, and the day is flagged directly.

Worked example

A Monday-through-Friday work week with a 09:00-17:00 daily window totals 40 hours over one full week, five business days times 8 hours each, with weekend days contributing nothing regardless of the daily window entered. Run that same 09:00-17:00 window across a week that includes a daylight-saving transition instead, and the total comes back at 39 or 41 hours, one day short or long of the usual 8, since the real elapsed time on the transition day differs from what the wall clock alone would suggest.

Common mistakes

Assuming every business day contributes the same real elapsed hours. A daylight- saving transition day genuinely runs an hour short or long even though the wall- clock window stays the same.
Expecting holidays to be excluded automatically. Only weekends are excluded by default, so a specific holiday date needs the Holiday Impact Calculator's region data layered on separately.

Limitations

This applies one fixed daily window to every business day in the range. It does not support different hours on different days, so a schedule needing that level of detail should use Work Hours, Timecards & Shifts instead.
