Business Hours Between Dates

Sum a daily work window's hours across a date range, counting only business days.

Worked example

A Monday-Friday work week with a 09:00-17:00 daily window totals 40 hours: five business days times 8 hours each. Weekend days contribute nothing, regardless of the daily window.

Daylight saving awareness

If the range includes a daylight-saving transition, the day it falls on is flagged: the wall-clock window still reads 09:00-17:00, but the real elapsed hours that day may be 7 or 9 instead of 8.

Limitations

This applies one fixed daily window to every business day; it does not support different hours on different days. For that level of detail, see Work Hours, Timecards & Shifts.
