SLA Deadline Calculator
Enter the start event, the duration your own policy states, and which calendar it uses. This is a planning calculation from what you enter, not a contractual or legal SLA determination.

Worked example
A "respond within 2 business days" policy starting Monday, January 4, 2027, targets Wednesday, January 6, since the start date counts as day zero and two working days are added from that point. Switch that same 2-day duration to calendar-day mode instead, and the target moves earlier, to Wednesday, January 6 in this particular case since no weekend falls in between, though a start date closer to a weekend would show the two modes diverging by a day or more.
Common mistakes
- Assuming a policy's stated duration is always business days by default. Check the actual policy wording, since this calculator applies whichever calendar is selected, nothing more.
- Treating the result as the actual contractual deadline without checking the real governing document. This only applies the numbers entered directly.
Limitations
This does not know the actual contract, regulation, or company policy text involved. It only applies the start date, duration, and calendar entered directly, and it is never a substitute for the real SLA document.
Frequently asked questions
- Does this account for a regulated response time?
- No, there is deliberately no jurisdiction or industry selector here. Enter the exact duration the actual governing policy states instead.
- Does switching to calendar-day mode change the working-days field?
- The working-days field hides in calendar-day mode, since every calendar day counts equally toward the duration and no weekday pattern applies.
