Multi-Cadence Calendar Planner
Combine several independent recurring schedules onto one shared timeline, each tagged with its own name, so you can see every generated date at a glance and spot exactly which dates more than one schedule lands on.
Worked example
Two weekly schedules, both landing on the same Monday every week, produce a fully shared combined timeline, since every date either schedule generates is also generated by the other. Change one of the two schedules to a different weekday, and the combined timeline instead shows two separate sets of dates that never actually coincide, which is exactly the kind of side-by-side comparison a single-schedule view could never show on its own. This is most useful for a person or team juggling several independent recurring commitments who wants one place to see them all together.
Common mistakes
- Expecting the combined view to merge overlapping schedules into one entry. Every schedule keeps its own tag, even on a shared date, so you can see which schedules actually contributed to it.
- Adding only one schedule. The tool still works, but its real value is in seeing multiple schedules together.
Limitations
This displays a bounded number of occurrences per schedule, not an unlimited future timeline, so schedules with very different cadences may need a larger occurrence count to reach a comparable calendar span.
Frequently asked questions
- How many schedules can I combine at once?
- As many as you need to add, since each one is generated and merged the same way regardless of how many others are present.
- Are shared dates sorted to the top?
- No, the whole combined timeline is sorted chronologically, with each date's contributing schedules listed together.
