Worked example
With a Monday-through-Friday workweek, three full weeks from January 4 to January 25, 2027, contain exactly 15 workdays, three weeks times five workdays each, with no partial week affecting this specific range. Extend that same range by four extra days, out to January 29, and the total climbs to 19 workdays, since those extra four days land on a Monday through Thursday, all four of them working days under the same pattern.
Common mistakes
- Including the end date in a manual count, then expecting it to match. The range here is half-open, so the end date itself is excluded from the total.
- Assuming a holiday preset is applied automatically. Only the checked workweek pattern matters here, so a holiday needs the Holiday Impact Calculator layered on separately.
Limitations
This checks the selected workweek only. No holiday preset is applied unless the Holiday Impact Calculator is also used alongside this one for the same range.
Frequently asked questions
- Does this count the end date?
- No, the range is half-open, so the start date counts toward the total while the end date itself does not.
- Can Saturday count as a working day here?
- Yes, any combination of the seven weekday checkboxes can be selected, so a workweek that includes Saturday, or excludes a weekday, is entirely supported.
