Worked example
If New Year's Day (a US preset holiday) falls on a Friday within your selected range, it removes exactly one working day: the count without holidays applied minus the count with holidays applied shows the difference, and every holiday actually found in the range is listed by name and date.

This uses a static, dated bundled holiday dataset covering 2020-2032for 8 regions. It does not establish whether your specific employer, contract, court, or jurisdiction actually treats a given date as non-working; where that distinction matters, verify against an authoritative local source.
